Water Pump Project 2016
Water is a source of life, yet over 1/6th of the world’s population lack access to safe drinking water.
Just 84% of secondary schools in Bangladesh have access to a drinking water source. 60% of these water sources are non-functional. The state of hygiene and sanitation facilities in secondary schools is also very poor.
Due to the lack of clean drinking water people result in returning to the unreliable sources of water such as lakes, ponds or ditches which results in outbreaks of water related diseases.
The directors of Millbray Contracts which is a part of APC Overnight have been involved in a project which supplies water pumps to local communities in Bangladesh for over 10 years now.
Most recent one installed in March 2016 will have a massive impact on the whole village.
“It is nice to be able to help people with something so basic that we take for granted every day”. – Phil Gee the MD.
Well done and keep up the good work!
